Compassionate care environment at SES Care Homes in Surrey

+ welcome to ses care homesSupporting Individuals and Families Across Surrey for Over 20 Years

At SES Care Homes, we provide thoughtful, compassionate care that puts people first - always. For more than two decades, we’ve supported older adults and their families across Surrey, offering care that is warm, respectful and rooted in genuine human connection.

From our beginnings as a single care home, we’ve grown into a small, trusted group of four homes, each with its own character and setting. What hasn’t changed is our approach. We believe care should feel reassuring, familiar and personal - never rushed, impersonal or clinical. Every person we support is treated as an individual, with their own preferences, routines and life experiences guiding the care they receive.

+ Care that puts people first, alwaysA Local Provider Families Trust

SES Care Homes is an independent, family-led care provider with deep roots in the local community. We are not part of a large corporate chain, and that allows us to focus on what truly matters: consistency, relationships and quality of care.

Our long-standing presence in Surrey means we are well known by local families, healthcare professionals and services. That trust has been built over many years by doing things properly - listening carefully, acting with integrity, and providing reliable care families can depend on.

Whether someone joins us for long-term residential care, short-term respite, or support following a hospital stay, we work closely with families to make every transition as smooth and reassuring as possible.

+ More than care – a place to belongWhat our customers say

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We listen to your needs and tailor our services to meet them.

Mum's Dementia had progressed to a state where she really needed full time care and we were recommend to Valerie's Care Home.

It's a small home with only 17 residents and I feel that this is one of it's strengths.

We dreaded the day when Mum would move into a care home and we braced for the difficulties that such a change in a person's life usually creates, but Mum took to the staff straight away which was a massive relief for all of the family.

It's been nearly three months now and Mum has settled in very well, her health has improved and she feels that she is at home at Valerie's.
The staff are amazing and really concentrate of each residents individual needs.

Thank you Valerie's for looking after our Mum.

These people are the best carers I have ever encountered. My wife has been in a different Care Home and my mother was in another different Nursing Care Home so I speak from experience and the staff at Anchorstone far exceed the quality of care the other two provided (one of them has previously been given a Care Home of The Year award). Above all my wife is very happy here. I was recently asked to give suggestions as to any improvements they could make and I couldn't think of any. They are also very good at keeping me informed about any changes in my Wife's condition which being Dementia unfortunately can only progress.

Crossways is a very friendly nursing home. Mum has been there very nearly 10 years. The staff treat her with respect and kindness, although now bedridden, staff take the time with her. Her face lights up when she sees them. The home is always clean with no funny smells! Well done Crossways.

You should be praised.

Once we had taken the difficult decision to move Dad into a care home we looked at a lot of homes to find the right one. When we visited Moorlands a we soon felt that this small family-run home would be perfect for Dad. The excellent service the home provided started before Dad moved in when they completely redecorated his room.

From the first day, we could not have asked for better care. All the staff were warm and welcoming and their commitment to providing a home from home was clear.

Sadly Dad's stay in the home was only short before he peacefully passed away as a result of a long-term health condition. During the last two weeks of his life, Dad was treated with exceptional care, compassion and dignity and nothing was too much trouble for the competent, caring and hard-working staff. We were well looked after too during this difficult time.

We will always be extremely thankful for everything the fabulous staff at Moorlands did for our dad, and for us, during his short stay.

After many hospital admissions, my 90 year Mam needed care we could no longer provide at home. We looked at numerous care homes, and feel extremely fortunate that Moorlands, a small family-run home, had a room for Mam when she needed it.

Moorlands really is a home from home, a warm, welcoming and cheerful place. Friendly management lead by example, nothing is too much trouble. The exceptional team go above and beyond to create such a special place, working hard to make Moorlands what it is.

It is clear to see that this is not just a job for most of the staff, they genuinely care for residents, and long-term continuity of staff is a positive in any establishment.
Sadly our dear Mam was only at Moorlands for 4 weeks before she peacefully passed away. Throughout this time, she was treated with care, dignity and exceptional kindness. I was very well cared for too.

I will be forever grateful for everything the wonderful Moorlands team did for Mam, and for us as a family. Heartfelt thanks to all.

From the moment we walked into Valeries Care Home, we felt a sense of warmth and comfort. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive and truly go above and beyond for the residents. My dad settled in so quickly, which was such a relief for our whole family. The level of care and compassion shown every day is outstanding. It really does feel like a home rather than a care facility, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
